Last Day in the U.K.

As they say, all good things must come to an end, and the same is true for this trip to London. I think because coming to London was such a last minute decision and it happened to fall into place for me, that I didn't really have time to think about or garner big expectations for it. But I have to say, it turned out to be even better then I could have anticipated. This has been hands down one of the best summers of my life. I can't say enough good things about the city of London, my placement, and most of all the other students. From day one our group really meshed together with one another, and you could tell this was going to be a good summer with a good group of people. I am just so grateful to have had this experience, and feel so lucky and so blessed and know someone was looking out for me when this opportunity presented itself. I'd truly recommend spending time in London to anyone. My next post will be from the Bing. I hope you all have enjoyed this ride as much as I did. Cheers!

Cocktail Reception and KARAOKE

Last night was our cocktail reception for the end of the Law in London program. It was in the garden of Middle Temple Inn. It was really lovely. Everyone had invited their mentors but unfortunately my mentor was unable to make it at the last minute due to a family emergency. It was really nice to dress up and mingle with everyone. Then after the reception, at my request, we went and did karaoke. It was awesome! Seeing top barristers and solicitors singing along to Sweet Caroline is something I won't soon forget. Cheers :)

The Roses matched my dress!
My mentor didn't make it, so I borrowed Dan's.
The Crew.
Three cheers for re-wearing Law Prom dresses!
Cocktail rings are completely appropriate at cocktail parties.
Dan and I with Professor Day.
Professor Day again.
Very sad to be leaving London.
Let the karaoke begin!
Best idea ever.
Please observe the barrister with the microphone. These guys loved it!
Not gonna lie, there has been a lot of bromance on this trip.
Quite a lot actually.

Sock Time at the Beach Bar

Even the sock got a little love at The Beach Bar!

I love it that Bridget looks truly horrified at the sock, lol.

If You Can't Go to the Beach, Bring the Beach to You!

On Sunday, we went to Portobello Row in Notting Hill for the afternoon. It was a cute street with a lot of little shops. Then we had really great thai food.

On our way home, we found a beach bar which was awesome. There was sand everywhere and fun beach-y cocktails! We had all been feeling a little bad that we haven't really had a summer at the beach yet, so this was a perfect solution! If you can't go to the beach, bring the beach to you :)

It's beach time!

Love coronas in the summer! :)

Oh, boy, London is a wonderful city!

Last Weekend in London - Bring on the Champagne

To celebrate our last weekend in London, we went out dancing at Dans Du Nuit. The original plan had been to go to Fabric, but after looking at the clientele in the queue, we realized our dresses needed to be shown off elsewhere. Thus we found a new bar and tore up a rug. Cheers to London!

The Albany in London! and Happy 40th Birthday

After we finished at Regents Park we stumbled across The Albany, a pub in London! Nice to see the capital represented in the U.K. :) At my request, we went in and had a few cocktails. I had a delicious strawberry beer.

After that, we headed to Night and Day pub, and helped this lovely woman in the black tank top celebrate her 40th birthday. Needless to say, these ladies loved our guy friends! Enjoy below :)
